Initiated into I.A.T.S.E. Local 728, October 9, 1961.

Doug was a California Air National Guard Photographer and a freelance photographer before joining the I.A.T.S.E.

Retired from the motion picture television industry, Jan. 1, 2000. Maintained membership in I.A.T.S.E. Local 728.

Doug's Father, Nelson F. Mathias, aka Nels Mathias, was a Local 80 Grip at Republic Pictures for 32 years.
