Biography

Anthony Masters was born on November 9, 1919 in Folkestone, Kent, England, UK. He was an art director and production designer, known for 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Dune (1984) and Papillon (1973). He was married to Heather Sears. He died on May 12, 1990 in Le Beausset, Var, France.

British production designer and set decorator, nominated for an Academy Award in the category Best Art Direction for the film "2001: A Space Odyssey".

Father, with Heather Sears, of three sons: Giles Masters, Dominic Masters and Adam Masters.
