Biography

LeRoy Mason was born on July 2, 1903 in Larimore, North Dakota, USA. He was an actor, known for Daughter of Don Q (1946), California Straight Ahead! (1937) and Federal Operator 99 (1945). He was married to Rita Carewe and Bernice. He died on October 13, 1947 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Suffered heart attack on the set of California Firebrand (1948).

Often played the "heavy" opposite such cowboy stars as Hoot Gibson, William Desmond, Tom Mix' and Gene Autry.

His career peaked in the mid to late 1920s when he played lead roles with such actresses as Betty Blythe, Belle Bennett and Esther Ralston.

Can be spotted in a small part in King Kong (1933) as an audience member attending the exhibition of Kong in New York City who complains about the price of the ticket.
