Biography

John Mason was born on October 28, 1858 in Orange, New Jersey, USA. He was an actor, known for The Libertine (1916), The Fatal Card (1915) and Moral Suicide (1918). He was married to Katherine Grey (m. as McDonough, née Best) and Marion Stevens (aka Marion Manola). He died on January 12, 1919 in Stamford, Connecticut, USA.

One of the more popular stage actors of his day.

Played leading man to Elsie de Wolfe, Annie Russell and Minnie Maddern Fiske.

His most successful role was probably Jack Brookfield in the play "The Witching Hour".

Starred on vaudeville for a number of years with Marion Manola, his future wife .
