- Jasper Maskelyne was born on September 29, 1892 in Wandsworth, London, England, UK. He was an actor, known for Lady in Distress (1940), The Dizzy Limit (1930) and Terror on Tiptoe (1936). He died on March 15, 1973 in Nairobi, Kenya.
- Came from a family of magicians, his father being the famous British conjurer John Nevil Maskelyne (1939-1917). During World War II, he volunteered for the Royal Engineers, rose to the rank of major and was influential in designing camouflage for AFV's, ships and ordnance. After the war, he bought a farm in Kenya, became a police officer and fought against Mau Mau terrorists.
