Denis Martel is the founder of the Fabrique d'Images, which was one of Canada's main production houses for over three decade, specializing in TV commercials. Several directors from across Quebec and even Canada cut their teeth alongside Denis Martel at the Fabrique d'Images.
He created Buzz Image which made its mark thanks to movies such as The Fountain, Brokeback Mountain, The Aviator, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, to name but a few.
Denis Martel also founded Locomotions Films in addition to initiating TV series such as Les Lavigueur, winner of 9 Gémeaux Awards including that of Best Drama Series and François en série, winner of the Gémeaux Awards Best Comedy Series; as well as the documentary Achever l'Inachevable, winner of several awards including the Shanghai Gold Magnolia and the Gémeaux Award for Best Documentary
