Kristopher Marshall is an English actor who has been starring in films, on television, and on stage for more than 20 years. He has played Nick Harper in My Family (2000), Colin Frissell in the film Love Actually (2003), Gratiano in The Merchant of Venice (2004), Dave in the first series of Citizen Khan (2012), and Tom Parker in Sanditon (2019). Marshall portrays DI Humphrey Goodman across four seasons of Death in Paradise (2011) (in 2014-2017) and in the spin-off Beyond Paradise (2023).

Rumored to become the 13th Doctor Who after leaving Death In Paradise.
Was hit by a car in Bristol on 28 April 2008. He was taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary, where a scan revealed head injuries. He made a full recovery and began his performances in the play Fat Pig three weeks later as scheduled.
His father was a Royal Air Force (RAF) navigator.
In October 2011 was charged with failing to provide a breath test after police stopped his car in the Tesco car park in Wells. He pleaded guilty and was disqualified from driving for six months.
Is an Aston Villa supporter.

I can't stand Jeremy Kyle. The whole set-up is an utter disgrace. It's playing-by-numbers TV for the underclass and I can't abide it.
Traffic (2000) was critically acclaimed, but I couldn't get on with it. It was a combination of the pacing and Catherine Zeta-Jones's odd Welsh/American accent. So I left and went down the pub.
I always cry when I watch Terms of Endearment (1983). I've seen it loads of times and it never fails to tear me up.
When I was growing up I used to love dramas like Columbo (1971), Bergerac (1981) and The Rockford Files (1974), that never took themselves too seriously, even though they were dealing with quite serious things. And I think that that's something that's good to have in the schedules, it's good to keep people entertained whilst people are being bumped off.
[ on working with Jamie [Beyond Paradise (2023) co-star Jamie Bamber] is fantastic. It's nice to have another actor of a similar age and experience on set, especially since we have both been in the industry since the 90s.
