- Catherine Marshall was the wife of Peter Marshall, the minister who served as Chaplain to the Senate for several years in the late 1940s. He died suddenly from a heart attack in 1949, leaving Catherine and their young son, Peter J. Marshall. Catherine wrote his biography, and discovered a love for and an ability to write.
Her books have provided inspiration and enlightenment for hundreds of thousands of readers over the years. Her pen was last laid down never to be picked up again in 1983.
