Sally Marr was born on December 30, 1906 in New York, USA. She was an actress, known for Dance Hall Racket (1953), Harry and Tonto (1974) and House Calls (1978). She was married to Myron Schneider. She died on December 14, 1997 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

She was very influential in her son's career, having started out as a dancer herself. She was a known professional comic and talent spotter. Among those she helped discover were Pat Morita, Cheech Marin, Tommy Chong and Sam Kinison.

Knew writer Amy Sherman-Palladino, through Amy's comedian father, Don Sherman. Amy would eventually write the TV show, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017), which includes a fictionalized version of her son, played by Luke Kirby.
