- Christopher Rodriguez Marquette can soon be seen starring opposite Alan Ritchson in the upcoming season of television's most-watched streaming series "Reacher," a season its creator has called the show's most ambitious and cinematic to date. Christopher joins the series as an unexpected partner to Ritchson's titular hero, forming a volatile, darkly-funny duo in what has been described as a modern-day "Midnight Run" that builds toward a "Mission: Impossible"-level climax.
Across film and television, Christopher has built a reputation as one of those rare actors whose performances linger: unforgettable, idiosyncratic, and emotionally charged. His turn in HBO's Emmy-winning "Barry" remains a standout of the series and a defining moment of what critics have called "The Golden Age of Television."
Known for roles that range from cult classics to prestige dramas, Christopher's body of work includes "The Girl Next Door", "Just Friends", "Fanboys", "Alpha Dog", "Lucifer," "Mozart in the Jungle", "Freddy vs. Jason", and the series re-imagining of "The Fugitive". His collaborations with filmmaker Todd Solondz earned him a Gotham Award nomination, and his comedic chemistry with Anna Faris in the Ryan Reynolds favorite "Just Friends" earned an MTV Movie Award nod.
Christopher has shared the screen with some of the most celebrated talents of his generation. Including Seth Rogen, Kristen Bell, Paul Dano, Gael García Bernal, Jesse Eisenberg, Willem Dafoe, Dwayne Johnson, and Vincent D'Onofrio. Under the direction of acclaimed filmmakers such as Paul Weitz, Nick Cassavetes, David S. Goyer, Luke Greenfield, and Mark Pellington. Recently, Christopher made his writing and directorial debut at the Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying LA Shorts Fest, Los Angeles' longest-running, most prestigious short film festival. The comedy stars Christopher alongside an ensemble including Anthony Carrigan, Mae Whitman, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Alan Tudyk, Dan Fogler, Margarita Levieva, Jay Baruchel, and Angela Sarafyan. He is now preparing to direct his first feature, which he also wrote and will star in opposite Mary Elizabeth Winstead and David Cross, slated to begin production in 2026.
He divides his time between the west coast of Ireland and Southern California.
