Maripily Rivera was born on June 15, 1977 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She is an actress, known for Miente (2009), Super Show (1998) and No te duermas (1995). She was previously married to Roberto Alomar.

She has one son name José Antonio García Jr. (b. November 14, 2001) with her ex-boyfriend José Antonio García.

Is the second Puerto Rican to win the Telemundo celebrity reality competition series La Casa de Los Famosos (2021) back to back. The previous year's (2023) was former Miss Puerto Rico Universe contestant Madison Anderson who was the runner-up in the 2019 Miss Universe Pageant.

Was given a national hero's homecoming welcome on May 23, 2024,when she returned to her native Puerto Rico after winning the fourth season of the Telemundo celebrity reality competition series La Casa de Los Famosos (2021). More than 200,000 Puerto Ricans joined a caravan from Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in San Juan to that city's convention center to celebrate her win. Many more spectators lined the streets the caravan took to join in the festivities.
