Biography

Joan Marion was born on September 28, 1908 in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. She was an actress, known for Footsteps in the Sand (1939), BBC Sunday-Night Theatre (1950) and Double Wedding (1933). She was married to Louis De Rouet. She died on November 5, 2001 in Sheringham, Norfolk, England, UK.

Died a few months after friend Nora Swinburne and a few days before friend Jane Welsh.

Described studio boss Jack Warner as "a horrid little man" and refused to sign a contract after Warner requested she pose nude while 'bouncing a beach ball and stand on a pillar wearing wisps of chiffon" while being checked out by a dozen leering executives.

A noted stage actress of the 1930's, trained at RADA.
