  • David was born and raised in El Segundo, California. A small community in Los Angeles nestled right next to L.A.X. In 1993 David received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Theatre Production from Humboldt State University. In 1994 he received a Triple Master of Arts Degree in Directing, Acting, and Lighting Design from H.S.U. In 1996 he received his Master of Fine Arts degree in Directing from the University of Portland. David's thesis from U of P, Sam Shepard's "A Lie of the Mind", was a regional finalist at the Kennedy Center Northwest Drama Conference in 1997.

    Also in 1997 David received a certificate in producing from the American Film Institute. In 1998 he was awarded the Irwin and Shelia Allen Scholarship to the American Film Institute's Directing program. In December 1999 he graduated with his Master of Fine Arts degree in Directing from A.F.I. His thesis film "Impala" has won numerous accolades in the film community including: Region One Student Academy Award, Martin Ritt Fellowship Award, American Society of Cinematographer Honorable Mention as well as opening K.C.E.T's "Fine Cuts" on P.B.S.

    David's mentors at AFI include Hollywood legends Frank Pierson, Leslie Stevens, Abby Singer, Debra Hill, Dale Pollock, Rick Rosenthal, Del Reisman and Gil Dennis.

    Over the past 25 years David has Produced Features Films, Shorts and Commercials; Openers for NBA, NFL and MLB teams; Directed Commercials, Shorts and Music Videos. He has also been an Assistant Director and Production Manager for Roland Emmerich, Darrin Lynn Bousman, Kevin Smith, and Nicolas Cage.
