Gilda Marinescu was born on February 13, 1933 in Bucuresti, Romania. She was an actress, known for Simpaticul domn R (1970), Zodia Fecioarei (1967) and Balada pentru Mariuca (1969). She died on April 24, 1995 in Bucuresti, Romania.

Gilda Marinescu was a Romanian film, radio, television, stage and voice actress.

In 1965 she joined the valuable troupe of the 'Nottara Theater' in Bucharest, where she would remain until her retirement shortly before her death, an alleged suicide.

She worked in theater and film for 40 years, leaving a significant mark through her dramatic force.

She graduated from the "IL Caragiale" Institute of Theater and Cinematography in 1955.

Gilda Marinescu received the Labor Medal (June 7, 1957) "on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the performance of the first show in Romanian on the stage of the "Vasile Alecsandri" National Theater in Iasi, for outstanding merits in artistic activity".
