  • Luiza Mariani is a Brazilian actress and producer. She started her career in Theater in 1996 in Rio de Janeiro, where she acted in more than 15 plays and produced 5 of them. Since her debut in movies in 2001, in As Três Marias (2002), directed by Aluizio Abranches, which was premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, Luiza has appeared in more than 20 films. One of her most recent films, The Great Mystical Circus (2018), directed by Carlos Diegues, had its premiere at the 71st Cannes Film Festival. Luiza also starred the Brazilian feature film Todas as Canções de Amor (2018), directed by Joana Mariani, great winner of the 42nd São Paulo International Film Festival. She produced her first feature film, Cyclone (2025), which she's also a co-writer and plays the main role. Shot in 2023, in a co-production with Mar Filmes, Muiraquitã Filmes and VideoFilmes, Cyclone is directed by awarded director Flávia Castro.
