Barbara March was born on October 9, 1953 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was an actress, known for Star Trek: Generations (1994), Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) and Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987). She was married to Alan Scarfe. She died on August 11, 2019 in British Columbia, Canada.

Deep husky yet smooth voice

Best known as one of the villainous Duras sisters (Lursa) in Star Trek TNG, DS9 and the motion picture Star Trek: Generations. She later attended Star Trek conventions, even appearing on stage occasionally in full Lursa makeup.

Barbara March passed away on August 11, 2019, two months away from what would have been her 66th birthday on October 9.

I felt that I did good by doing Lursa, because I'm a large woman - I'm 160 pounds, big bones, big everything. When I meet large women who come to conventions with their cleavage exposed, and for the first time feel proud of their bodies with a sense of dignity and a kind of sexual aggressiveness, I am so grateful. That's important. I'm so glad that those women can come out and feel like they're beautiful.
