Biography

Marc'o was born on April 10, 1927 in Clermont-Ferrand, Puy-de-Dôme, France. He was a director and writer, known for Les idoles (1968), Closed Vision (1954) and Voyage au bout du rêve (1958). He died on June 11, 2025 in Paris, France.

Member of the jury at the Belfort International Film Festival in 2003.

The Paris American Center Theatre School which Marc'o founded and ran for seven years nurtured such future talents as Marpessa Dawn, Bulle Ogier, Jean Pierre Kalfon, Pierre Clementi and Valerie Lagrange.

Also author, playwright, stage director and publisher.

Longtime companion of Cristina Bertelli.
