Biography

Gloria Manon was an American film, television, and voiceover actress, possibly best-known for voicing the role of "Contessa" in Sly 2: Band of Thieves (2004), and playing Mrs Curtis in the hugely popular Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971).

In the film "The Woman Inside", Manon played a Vietnam veteran (Hollis) who is experiencing intense gender dysphoria and who later has gender-affirming surgery, becoming Holly. The film was made in the 1970s but not released until 1981.

Manon also appeared in such television series as Exit the Closer (1971), Carnival of Spies (1977), and LA 2017 (1971), among others.

Had a drama scholarship with The High School of the Performing Arts in New York; worked with Uta Hagen and William Hickey at Herbert Berghof Studios in Greenwich Village in New York City; Mime with Marcel Marceau in Los Angeles.
