Biography

Peggy Mannix was born in St. Albans, New York, November 26, 1949 and grew up in Sayville, New York. Her first acting jobs came to her via the well known Gateway Playhouse near her home. It was there she found her love and devotion to all things Musical Theatre and decided to jump on the train to the circus and has never looked back. With over 100 musicals and stage plays to her credit she married the love of her life John Slattery (not THAT John Slattery) in 1978. They packed up the 1964 Chevy Nova with one headlight and set out for the West Coast. They have made their home in Los Angeles for the past 40 years. In LA, Peggy was able to eek out a TV career with small roles in many popular sitcoms of the day.She has performed in regional theatres here in Los Angeles, San Francisco & Saramento. She continues to pursue her love of acting. In recent years, Peggy has enjoyed a successful side career working as a Public Speaker for FIDM for thirteen years and currently is a consultant for two Culinary Arts Non Profits teaching their students Interpersonal Skills. She has fallen in love with storytelling and has performed at popular venues in Los Angeles, Portland and New York telling her own personal stories. Peggy & John have two sons Sean and Liam Slattery and they are her favorite productions to date.
