- Renate Mannhardt was born on November 20, 1920 in Barmen, Germany. She was an actress, known for Fear (1954), Die große Schuld (1953) and The Lost Man (1951). She died in July 2013 in New York City, New York, USA.
- German supporting actress of the 1950's, daughter of a lawyer and publisher. On stage from 1943, she performed with the Münchner Kammerspielen after the war. On screen, she played several key roles in post-war films, perhaps best known as the ill-fated fiancée of a German scientist (Peter Lorre), who is murdered by him when he learns that she has been selling his secret research to the enemy in The Lost Man (1951).
