- David Malyan was born on April 17, 1904 in Zakataly, Tiflis Governorate, Russian Empire [now Zaqatala, Azerbaijan]. He was an actor, known for Sevani dzknorsnere (1939), Andzamb tchanachum em (1958) and Lalvari vorskane (1967). He died on July 17, 1976 in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR [now Armenia].
- David Malyan studied in Armenian Drama studio in Tbilisi in 1922-1923. He worked in the theaters in Yerevan, Tbilisi, Leninakan (now Gyumri). From 1932 he was one of the leading actors of the Sundukyan Drama Theatre of Yerevan.
