- Sardar Malik was a composer and assistant director, known for Saranga (1961), International Gorillay (1990) and Abe Hayat (1955). Sardar died on January 27, 2006 in Mumbai, India.

- Sardar Malik, who had studied dance with the great Uday Shankar, worked as a choreographer for Nanabhai Bhatt's 1945 film Chalis Karod.
Director Ramesh Sehgal noticed that Malik was a very good singer and hired him to sing as well as compose music for the film Renuka (1947).
He composed music for mostly B-grade films but made his main living from teaching music.
