- Deepak Malhotra is an actor and model. He used to be famous in the late 80s and 90s. He is from Bangalore and started his career with modeling for a menswear line in Bangalore. After that, he started to get offers for advertisements on TV. Deepak moved to Mumbai. He got an opportunity of his life when Yash Chopra films chose him for lead man in Lamhe opposite the legendary Sridevi in the year 1991.However, his career was short-lived after that. He moved to New York and changed his name to Dino Martelli. Deepak was also offered Shahrukh Khan's role in Chamatkar. He was about to star in Bekhudi opposite Pooja Bhatt, but it did not happen. He was offered Avinash's role in Junoon but was replaced.He was also in the running for the lead role in Suryavanshi.He is married to choreographer and model Lubna Adams and they have two children Kian Martelli and Kyle Martelli. Kian recently debuted as a model with Manish Malhotra.

- When the film Darr was first conceived, Yash Chopra's assistant Naresh Malhotra was to direct the film. It was then titled "Kiran".He wanted Raveen Tandon for the lead role, co starring Deepak Malhotra and Deepak Tijori.When that did not work out Yash Chopra took over the film. He was reluctant because the film had a lot of violence.
