Biography

Romano Malaspina was born on December 22, 1939 in Venaria Reale, Turin, Piedmont, Italy. He is an actor, known for Superman (1978), The Fugitive (1993) and GoldenEye (1995).

Very active in anime dubbing.

As a dubbing actor, he has provided the Italian voice for actors such as Roger Moore and Ben Cross. He has also voiced Tyrone Power and Humphrey Bogart and Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes for the 80s television series The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. From 2003 to 2011, he provided the Italian voice of Inspector Tom Barnaby (John Nettles) in the British detective series Midsomer Murders.

Studied drama at the Accademia nazionale d'arte drammatica under Sergio Tofano.

Member of an aristocratic Tuscan-Emilian family of the same name, he spent his childhood on his family's estates in Lunigiana.
