- Armin Maiwald was born on January 23, 1940 in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. He is a writer and director, known for Die Sendung mit der Maus (1971), Der Spatz vom Wallrafplatz (1969) and Robbi, Tobbi und das Fliewatüüt (1972). He has been married to Ulla since 1965. They have two children.
