- Matt Mahurin was born in Los Angeles in 1959. Currently he is the only acclaimed music video director (apart from Adam Dubin & Wayne Isham) to have collaborated with acts like Queesryche & Metallica. To this day he directs music videos but is on the look out for lesser known bands. His visions transcend the boundaries of intelligence and this is proved by the awesome imagery in all the music videos he has directed.

- He has drawn various illustrations for TIME Magazine since the 1980s. These include illustrations for a 1983 cover story on domestic abuse, photographs for a 1986 issue having to do with drugs in the workplace, and the cover of a 2004 issue having to do with the prison abuse scandal in Iraq.
- Mahurin created the infamous Time magazine cover which tinted OJ Simpson's mugshot darker than the actual picture, which emphasized his blackness.
