She started her career in the TV show "El club de Gaby." In 1993 she worked in several promotionals for the magazine "Eres." She has been in the TV soaps "María la del barrio" and "Luz Clarita." Currently she has a starring role in "Mi pequeña traviesa."

Margarita started her carrer at 15 years old in telenovela "Club de Gaby". She signed in school of acting "Televisa", where she met her future husband Mauricio Aspe. She now lives in Mexico with her husband and their daughter Shakti. She married Mauricio when she was four months pregnant and they had only civil marriage, not in the church.

Her first villain role came in 1999 when she played Brisa Montalvo de Zambrano in the soap opera, For Your Love (1999).

She was fifteen years-old when she began her acting career in the telenovela Club de Gaby. It was in 1995 that she received another important early role as Betty in the soap opera, Humble Maria (1995).
