Leevi Madetoja was born on 17 February 1887 in Oulu, Finland. He was a composer and writer, known for The Man Without a Past (2002), Taistelu Heikkilän talosta (1936) and Muisteja: Pieni elokuva 1950-luvun Oulusta (2013). He was married to Hilja Onerva Lehtinen. He died on 6 October 1947 in Helsinki, Finland.
