Allison Mackie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. She is an actress known for Sliver (1993), Gia (1998), Original Sin (2001) and Those People (2015). She appeared as Roxane opposite Frank Langella in Cyrano De Bergerac at the Roundabout in NYC (1997). Miss Mackie attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, is a graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse School Of The Theater, and is a lifetime member of The Actor's Studio. She resides in New York.

Allison Mackie is of Scottish ancestry.

While finishing her two years at the Neighborhood Playhouse, she teamed up with Joanne Woodward to start a small theater company called the Actor's Group of New York, with Allison Janney, Dylan McDermott, Mark Moses and writer Matthew Carnahan along with many other artists and designers including Natasha Katz.

After she graduated from college, she went to New York City and trained at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater and the Actor's Studio.

Graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
