Biography

Jason MacDonald began his professional career in New York City with stints at LaMama, Circle in the Square and opposite Frank Langella in the Roundabout Theatre Company production of The Tempest.

Jason is a graduate of Circle In The Square Theatre School in New York and is a proud member of ACTRA, SAG-AFTRA and Actor's Equity and is a voting member of the Television Academy (Emmys). Jason is also a co-founder/owner of Atlanta acting studio, Drama Inc and is on the faculty at the Terry Knickerbocker Studio in New York City.

Was cast as "Emerson" on Sex and the City (1998)'s second season. The role, of the Upper East Side preppy, played opposite Kristin Davis (Charlotte) but after shooting wrapped, the shows producer's felt that the writing didn't work and the footage never aired.

Was the first actor, since Orson Welles, to play the role of "Harry Lime" in the stage adaptation of "The Third Man" (Godlight Theatre Company/Manhattan Theatre Source, 2003).

Was voted one of 'Atlanta's 50 Most Beautiful People' by Jezebel Magazine (December 2007).
