Biography

Alfred Maack was born on April 5, 1882 in Hamburg, Germany. He was an actor and producer, known for Opfer der Leidenschaft (1922), Alter Kahn und junge Liebe (1957) and Palace Scandal (1948). He died on February 14, 1961 in West Berlin, West Germany.

Beefy, bald-headed German character actor, on stage from 1902. Specialised in portraying hearty working folk: sailors, fishermen, labourers, and the like. Post-war, often in East German Defa productions. Regularly performed on stage in Berlin and Hamburg.

The actor Alfred Maack worked at different theaters before he gained a foothold in the film business.
