- Edmund Löwe was born on September 16, 1870 in Vienna, Austria. He was an actor and director, known for Johann Baptiste Lingg (1920), Elixiere des Teufels (1920) and Das Geheimnis der vier Tage (1921). He died on February 20, 1931 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.
- When he went to Berlin again he got in touch with the film business. He appeared in "Europäisches Sklavenleben" (1912) in front of the camera for the first time.
- At the age of 20 he decided to choose an artistic career and he took lessons for singing and acting. It followed first works in Teplitz-Schönau, afterwards followed engagements in Prague, Berlin and Hamburg.
- His son was the famous composer Frederick Loewe.
- He also wrote the screenplay for the production "Das Geheimnis der vier Tage" (1921).
- Theater tours also led him till to New Year before the turn of the century.
