Biography

Patricia López-Menadier is a Chilean actress. Her breakout role in "The Sacred Family" (La Sagrada Familia, 2005), directed by Oscar-winner Sebastián Lelio, introduced her to critics and movie-goers internationally. It went on to become the most awarded film in New Chilean Cinema, receiving recognition from more than 30 film festivals worldwide.

She is renowned for her long-spanning acting career in film, television, and theater, characterized by her ability to breathe life into diverse roles whose personalities fall outside of all clichés. She is focused on representing all the facets of womanhood ranging from strong characters to meek. Presently, she is based both in South America and Europe.

Ms. López-Menadier is the most awarded actress in Chile of her generation, receiving in her country the Altazor Award of the National Arts, the Pedro Sienna Awards, and the A.P.E.S. Awards (Association of Entertainment Journalism), and also in Latin America, she's received Best Actress accolades at the Guayaquil International Film Festival in Ecuador and the Santa Cruz Ibero-American Film Festival in Bolivia. Further, her films have been in international competition at prestigious festivals such as the Venice International Film Festival, San Sebastián International Film Festival, the Tribeca Festival, among others.

She brings to the production a captivating portrayal of characters, varying from her intense performances in dark tones, with more sinister roles such as those in "Baby Shower" (2011) and "Eternal Blood" (2002). Her versatility can also be appreciated in the comedy "Grado 3", (Fabula productions, 2009) and her unrecognizable transformations in the drama "Loco's Fever" (2001) and in "The Revenge" (1999), both directed by Andrés Wood.

As for her television career, she has been a regular part at TVN (Televisión Nacional de Chile) for over a decade, starring in highly rated productions such as "Amores de Mercado", "Pura Sangre", "Dónde está Elisa", and "El Señor de la Querencia", turning her into a much beloved actress in her country.

Patricia is an artist and cultural activist in constant evolution. She's got a degree in Arts and Cultural Management and a degree in Documentary Film, including Screenwriting, Drama, and Music Studies. Aside from her acting career, she is in continual development of arts projects throughout Chile and in Europe.
