Biography

Eddie Lyons was born on November 25, 1886 in Beardstown, Illinois, USA. He was an actor and director, known for Everything But the Truth (1920), All Bound Around (1919) and Good Night, Ladies (1919). He was married to Virginia Kirtley. He died on August 30, 1926 in Pasadena, California, USA.

Prolific star of silent screen comedy, with experience in vaudeville and musical comedy. First film work at Biograph, subsequently with Al Christie. From 1915, formed a famous partnership with Lee Moran, concentrating on situation comedy rather than the slapstick approach. The act broke up in 1920, Lyons joining Arrow as actor/director. He died prematurely at the age of 39 as a result of a brain tumor.
