Biography

Shola Lynch is known for Free Angela and All Political Prisoners (2012), Number One on the Call Sheet (2025) and Chisholm '72: Unbought & Unbossed (2004). She has been married to Vincent Morgan since September 1, 2006.

Is the famous Shola (pronounced SHAH-la) from the early days of Sesame Street (1969).

Since 2013 she has served as the Curator of the Moving Image & Recorded Sound division of the New York Public Library's Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.

In 2016 became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
