- Libero Luxardo was born on November 6, 1907 in Sorocaba, São Paulo, Brazil. He was a director and writer, known for Alma do Brasil (1931), Um Diamante e Cinco Balas (1966) and Marajó, Barreira do Mar (1967). He died on November 2, 1980 in Belém, Pará, Brazil.
- Born in São Paulo, Líbero moved to Pará and became a pioneer figure of the cinema in that state. In the late 1980's, it was inaugurated a cinema with his name.
