Several stories interweave, chronicling the lives, loves and adventures of a group of diverse, inter-related characters in and around the port city of Wilmington, NC.

David, a bored and lonely waiter in Wilmington, NC, finds his life turned upside down when he starts an affair with Hannah, a mysterious older woman whose past is as unclear as her motives.

Complicating his life even further is the unexpected arrival of Jason, DavidÂ’s very talkative, very gay new neighbor, whose awkward attempts to form a friendship with David are constantly misinterpreted.

DavidÂ’s sister, Nancy, is the unwitting recipient of two menÂ’s attention--married church deacon George, with whom she had a one-time fling, and her sleazy boss Pruitt.

DavidÂ’s co-worker Jeanne must only deal with her shiftless husband, but he turns out to be the biggest problem of all... except for maybe that trailer park hitman who just set his sights on a new target.

Port City (2009)

Matt Lutz made his living as a professional actor and singer from 1998 to 2015. A multi-faceted performer, his talents took him from substantial roles in feature films, lead roles on television, to the Broadway stage. In 2015, Matt decided to seek other career opportunities, lovingly hanging up his "professional performer" hat. In the years since, he has become a successful real estate broker, served as artistic director of a theatre, learned to play the cello, and become a screenwriter and playwright. In 2024, Matt returned to film and television acting.
