- Lucette Lupien was born in Sorel, Québec, Canada and started working in the movie business trough the National Film Board of Canada at the beginning of the 1970's, as a studio administrator and then as an assistant director.
A fervent and regular contributor to the recognition of the Canadian movie business movement, she has served her country proudly.
She is one of the originator, with Philippe Baylaucq, of the Quebec Coalition and Canadian for Cultural Diversity, which aims to protect the rights of all countries to safeguard their culture.

- In 2013-2014, she led the research and writing of the history of the ARRQ (Association des Réalisateurs et Réalisatrices du Québec), the Quebec film directors' association, for its 40th anniversary. Resulting in the brochure: «1974-2014, l'ARRQ, 40 ans d'occupation» ("1974-2014, the ARRQ, 40 years of occupation").
