Rebecca Luker was born on April 17, 1961 in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. She was an actress, known for NCIS: New Orleans (2014), Elementary (2012) and The Rewrite (2014). She was married to Danny Burstein and Gregory Jbara. She died on December 23, 2020 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.

She is buried at Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Semmes, Alabama.

Survived by her two stepsons, one brother, one sister, her mother, stepfather. Another brother died in 2019.

First (and, to date, only) actress ever nominated for a Tony Award for the role of Magnolia in "Show Boat". Twice nominated for Broadway's Tony Award as Best Actress (Musical): in 1995 for her role as Magnolia in the acclaimed revival of "Show Boat", and in 2000 for her role as Marian in a revival of "The Music Man". Also nominated in 2007 for a Tony Award as Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Mrs. Banks in "Mary Poppins".

Received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance as Marian in the Broadway production of "The Music Man".

Performed in The Vagina Monologues.
