Bela Lugosi Jr. was born on January 5, 1938 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is a producer and actor, known for Doctor Shocker's Monster Campaign Ads 2012 (2012), Extraordinary Tales (2013) and Edgar G. Ulmer: The Man Off-Screen (2004). He was previously married to Nancy Beauchamp.

Bela Jr. said that he took his "father's good advice" and decided not to pursue a career in acting...so he became a lawyer.
Has always spoken about his father, Bela Lugosi, with tremendous respect, and has always described him as a loving father. Even Bela's grave simply reads: "Beloved Father".

Unbeknownst to Bela G., due to what he personally knew happened behind-the-scenes pertaining to what it took to make it in Hollywood, his father, Bela Lugosi never wanted him to become an actor, and discouraged him.
Would tease Sara Karloff by telling her that she was older than him. She believed him, until she saw a photo of him as a baby standing between her father's legs, who was in full Frankenstein costume, on the set of Son of Frankenstein (1939). Sara was born during its filming.

The biggest misconception about my father, really, is in the focus of everyone's knowledge and attention about him, in the later years of his life. (...) They focus on negative aspects of his life. One aspect is the idea that he was some sort of an addict. And really, what happened to my father was he became medically addicted to morphine because of leg pains that he had, resulting from an injury. And, at a very late age in life, he turned himself in, to be cured, and he came out of the hospital completely cured, and I think it was a very heroic effort to do that because he took a lot of heat from it. And I'm very proud of how he was able to take control of his life, and lick a problem that he had.
There have been a lot of actors who have played Dracula, but I think that there's only one that's remembered as my father is today.
Dad's social friends were people in the Hungarian community, artisans and dancers and musicians, not the Hollywood crowd.
My dad was I think a proud dad, and a great dad... generous to a fault.
I think he would be amazed that he is remembered as well as he is. He was known as the definitive face of the Dracula character, and he's actually achieved immortality.
