Beverly Luff(I)

Beverly grew up in Culver City, California, just a few blocks from MGM Studios where her father, Thomas Luff, was a prop master. Her mother, Helen Luff, enrolled her in dance and drama classes at the age of four. She made her first film, Roarin' Lead (1936), when she was just five years old. By the time she turned six, she was known as "the fastest little tapper in Hollywood." Beverly made a number of films for MGM and other studios over the course of the next decade. She joined the cast of "The Ina Ray Hutton Show" in 1950, where she sang with Ina Ray and her All Girl Band. In 1951, Beverly joined the cast of The Leo Carrillo Show, as a singer and comedienne. She married Neil J. Westen in 1950 and had two daughters, Deborah Lynn and Deidre Lianne. Prior to the birth of her daughters, she sang in a number of Los Angeles clubs. Beverly and Neil divorced in 1962. She married and divorced twice thereafter. Beverly now lives in Portland, OR, close to her daughters, granddaughter, Lisa Nicole, and her twin great-grandsons. She still dances.
