- Else Ludwig was born on August 23, 1937 in Greifswald, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. She is an actress, known for Ein Sommernachtstraum (1964), Elisabeth (2005) and Antigone (1962). She was previously married to Frank Hoffmann.

- Primarily a stage actress. She initially completed training as a medical-technical assistant. However, she then decided to become an actor and took drama lessons in Düsseldorf. Ludwig made her theatrical debut in 1959 at the Schauspielhaus Zürich.
