- Composer, conductor, arranger and singer Norman Luboff was educated at the University of Chicago, Central College (Bachelor of Arts), and the American Conservatory of Chicago with Leo Sowerby. He served in the US Signal Corps in World War II, and instructed Music Theory at the Central College. In Chicago, he arranged, coached and sang for radio programs originating there, and worked with Lyn Murray, Ray Bloch and Al Goodman in New York. In Hollywood he worked on "The Railroad Hour" and for Warner Brothers. Joining ASCAP in 1953, his chief musical collaborators included Alan and Marilyn Bergman, and his popular-song works included "Yellow Bird", "Warm", "It's Some Spring", "How Come", "Jole John" and "Paul Bunyon". He co-edited and arranged "Songs of Man", and arranged "All Through the Night", "Sweet and Low", "Go to Sleepy" and more, including many Christmas carols.
