Biography

Marilyn Lovell was born on August 27, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. She was an actress, known for Route 66 (1960), Terror at Red Wolf Inn (1972) and Ghosts of Mississippi (1996). She was married to Peter Matz and Howard Storm. She died on April 13, 2012 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Marilyn Lovell was tall (6'2"), red-haired, and slim but curvaceous. She had a wide range of musical material, great vocal power and range, and was blessed with meticulous phrasing. Her repertoire of Broadway musical show tunes, old favorites, and current hits, were all included in her "cabaret concert performance and act".

Marilyn Lovell, when performing in New York industrial showcase presentations, was often directed and accompanied by composer-pianist Claibe Richardson. She often performed in Richardson's musical auditions performed for Broadway producer's backer's showcase auditions. She also performed in cabaret often with comedian Howard Storm. Storm was 5'8" tall, six inches shorter than she was, a sight to behold!.

Marilyn's sense of humor contributed many facets to her performance comedy level. During Marilyn's early NYC cabaret concert performances, she decided to incorporate a large pink ostrich fan. Marilyn would flutter across the stage apron performing her improvisational 'Sally Rand strip-tease club act' singing her sweet heart out. Often, because of Marilyn's sense of humor, she would come across as a "ding-bat" red head "Lorelei character" from the famous Broadway musical play "Gentlemen Prefer Blonds".

Performing with husband Peter Matz, the couple performed many benefit fund-raising cabaret concerts for AIDS research in New York City and Los Angeles.
