Best known for her role of Susan on the children's show
Sesame Street (1969), Loretta
Long has also worked as a schoolteacher and has a Ed.D. in education
from the University of Massachusetts. Before joining "Sesame Street" as
one of the original 1969 cast members, Ms. Long was in another
public-television production called "Soul." She was also involved in
summer stock productions of Sweet Charity, Guys and Dolls, and Milk and
Honey.
