- Sigurd Lohde was born on June 4, 1899 in Weimar, Germany. He was an actor, known for Und das am Montagmorgen (1959), Frozen Alive (1964) and Das Kaffeehaus (1964). He died on July 22, 1977 in Bad Sooden-Allendorf, Hesse, Germany.
- He gained a foothold at the film business in 1931, his first appearance in front of the camera was for Fritz Langs classic "M" (1931), in which he impersonated a small role.
- Sigurd Lohde emigrated to England where he only appeared in few more movies like "Night Train to Munich" (1939) and "Neutral Port" (1940). Beside it he acted at the Deutsches Theater in London.
- In England he used the pseudonym Sydney Loder, later he relocated to Australia where he continued his theater career, among others at the Palace Theatre and at the Theatre Royal. There he also took part in the movie "Eureka Stockage" (49).
- Sigurd Lohde only returned to Germany in 1955 and he made his comeback at the Renaissance Theater in Berlin.
- As a Jew he did not get any more engagements in Germany after 1933 and he first went to Austria and Hungary where he continued his stage and film career successfully. With the accession of Austria to Germany this work field became eliminated as well.
