Einar Loftesnes (1974) is a Bergen-based film producer and co-owner of Handmade Films In Norwegian Woods. He began his career in film in 1994 and has since worked his way through every level of the industry, developing a specialisation in Nordic genre films rooted in Norwegian stories, folklore, and nature.
As a producer, his credits include Tunnelen, Villmark 2, Astrup - Flammen over Jølster, and most recently Kraken (2026), with the youth love comedy Last Summer currently in production. He regularly works with major Nordic distributors and international sales agents, including TrustNordisk, Goodfellas, and Reinvent.
Loftesnes is a graduate of Inside Pictures (2022), one of Europe's most prestigious producer programmes, as well as Production Value (2013) and the Danish Film School's Mini Master in AI for Film (2024/25). He is a regular presence at major international film markets and festivals, including Cannes and Berlin.
