Robert Llewellyn was born on March 10, 1956 in Northampton, Northamptonshire, England, UK. He is an actor and writer, known for Red Dwarf (1988), Red Dwarf: Smeg Ups (1994) and Red Dwarf (1992). He is married to Judy Pascoe. They have two children.

His wife Judy Pascoe appeared in Camille (1991) as his character Kryten's love interest.

The station manager of KCTS-9, the Seattle Public TV affiliate, asked Robert Llewellyn to name the biggest influence on his comic acting career. Llewellyn identified Fred Gwynne as Herman Munster.
