Mini bio

  • Angelica Lisk-Hann is an award-winning stunt coordinator, director, actor, and mentor with more than 3 decades of experience in the global entertainment industry. A true trailblazer, she made history as Canada's first Black female stunt coordinator and remains one of the few worldwide to have reached this level in the field. Over a 30+ year career as a performer, 15 years as a stunt coordinator, and 5 years as a director, Angelica has contributed to more than 250 film and television productions internationally. She has served as stunt coordinator on over 80 projects, collaborating with leading studios and networks including Amazon, Apple TV, BET, CTV, Bell Media, Fox, Netflix, NBCUniversal, CBC, Disney, Lifetime, Global, and CBS. Her notable credits include the award-winning miniseries The Book of Negroes, the feature film Kick-Ass 2, the CBS series Clarice, Accused, and the record-breaking Prime Video series Cross. Based on the bestselling novels by James Patterson and starring Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross, Angelica serves as Supervising Stunt Coordinator and Second Unit Director on the series. Cross was re imagined for television by Blue Mondays' Ben Watkins. Her impact extends well beyond action design. In 2016, Angelica received the Role Model of the Year Award from the Black Canadians/Diversity Advancement Network for her advocacy and leadership in advancing diversity within the industry. A passionate champion for stunt professionals, she successfully lobbied the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television to establish the Canadian Screen Award for Best Stunt Coordination, then helped create the ACTRA Stunt Award and contributed to the development of the Vulture Stunt Award. In 2020, she won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Stunt Coordination for her work on Mary Kills People, and she has received 3 CSA nominations in total. In 2023, she was honored with the ACTRA Award of Excellence and, in 2024, was named one of Toronto Life Magazine's 50 Most Influential People of the Year - becoming the first member of the stunt community to receive either distinction. Most recently, Angelica and her business partner, Daniel Lavigne, received an NAACP Award nomination for their work on Cross. Beyond her on-set achievements, Angelica is deeply committed to mentor ship and industry development. Through her company, she trains and elevates emerging stunt coordinators, helping launch the careers of the next generation of action professionals. This initiative has grown into The Collective Action Group Inc., where members now write, produce, and direct original content. Driven by a passion for storytelling through action, Angelica Lisk-Hann continues to shape the future of the stunt industry worldwide - breaking barriers, building opportunities, and inspiring a new generation of action artists.
