  • Actress Ina Benita never divorced her husband. She left husband in mid-1939, but none of them filed for divorce until the outbreak of war. Both of them convinced of mutual death in wartime trusts, got married again with new partners. They committed a formal bigamy.
  • Although the spouses never met after the outbreak of the war - Benita stayed in Warsaw, later she lived in Austria, France, Morocco - while Lipinski was sent to Siberia, where he eventually joined the Anders Army, with which he traveled to the Middle East - formally never divorced spouses not knowing both of them, they lived in one country - the USA, in which both died.
